Click LIKE and subscribe to discover unique landscapes and places! We start from the traditional settlement of Paralio Astros. It is clearly the star of the Peloponnese. This is what its name says, due to the asteroid shape of the peninsula on which the #castle that dominates the area was built. #Medieval atmosphere, legends, unrestricted views, churches and beautiful alleys, a stone-built Lighthouse, the open-air theater named after Melina #Mercouri and the statue of a #mermaid! It is called #Stheno and according to mythology it is the most independent and wild, as it stands haughtily in the port. The dream and the expectation of the ideal of a perfect life characterized by #harmony among humans and between men and #nature. This is #utopia. Paralio #Astros is a seaside resort built amphitheatrically and surrounded by beautiful crystal clear waters. Your relaxing walks are perfectly accompanied by a high mood and end in the hospitable taverns and restaurants for greek food and drinks. It is located in a fertile plain that has a strategic position. The Greco-Roman senator Herodes Atticus had built his villa in the area during Roman times. The beach of the settlement is called Kallisto and is fully organized, while you can visit the beaches of Atsiganos and Paliochanos in the north and Portes, Herronisi and Agios Andreas in the south. Next stop is the #Arcadian Village. It is a model settlement, an idea from Arcades expatriates of America. Bright whte and endless Greek blue everywhere. #Kryoneri beach is one of the best and most popular in the area, with the homonymous beach bar being a favorite hangout. The bays of Tserfos, Moulas, Agios Christoforos and Tigani are pebble beaches with turquoise waters just before we reach the settlement of #Tyros or Tere in the local dialect. A picturesque fishing village that will fascinate you!Follow us on instagram & Facebook for extra material and backstage. And we arrived at the colorful #Leonidio. A traditional settlement with a population of #Tsakonian origin overlooking the #Myrtoan Sea. Characteristic is the imposing red rock that rises above the settlement. Ideal destination in recent years for climbing lovers! Also due to the famous eggplant produced in the area, #melitzana in Greek, every year the #Melijazz festival is organized, with a lot of jazz music and of course many eggplants! Houses and mansions of wonderful architecture, towers, bridges, guest houses and picturesque alleys take you to the romance of another era. Every Easter, Leonidio is transformed into a giant scene of spectacle, sound and light. On the one hand the fireworks, on the other 500-600 colorful balloons come off the ground to illuminate the Greek sky! A wonderful spectacle worth watching. In Leonidio there are two beautiful beaches, #Plaka in the small port of the same name with picturesque fish taverns and #Poulithra, built on the outskirts of mount Parnon, a place that perfectly combines mountain and sea, quality holidays and good food. The next beach is called #Fokiano, it is beautiful, but it is difficult to access. Continuing south we meet #Kiparissi, one of the best beaches in the Peloponnese. Pebbles, crystal clear waters and aroma of authentic Greece! Did you know that an impressive fjord may not be found in Norway, but in Laconia region of Peloponnese? This is the Port of Ierakas. Let the image surprise you! And now let #Gibraltar of the East be revealed in from of your eyes! A huge rock, a well-protected castle town and a narrow access point. It is the famous #Monemvasia! One of the most special and historical places in Greece! It was coveted by many: knights, pirates, crusaders and emperors. Discover it.Stone houses, vaulted alleys, Byzantine churches and Venetian mansions. Like a living fairy tale of the Middle Ages. Leave the car away and wander to this uniquely preserved medieval settlement in the Peloponnese. Walk along the sea walls. Stay in the boutique guesthouses, dive into the exotic beaches and enjoy the modern comforts, flavors and the famous #Malvasia local wine. And then you will feel like a proper resident of the castle. On our way to the end of the east coast we meet in turn Agios Fokas, a beautiful church and a picturesque beach, #Panagia and the stunning Kastania cave, and finally the windswept Cape #Malea and its lighthouse. Outside Litochoro and next to the Motorway is the Alexandrio Foundation with the imposing building and the Statue of the great Macedonian #King #Alexander. Do not forget to visit the Holy #Monastery of Agios Dionysios in Olympus, northwest of Litochoro. At an altitude of 850 meters lies the old monastery founded in 1542. And the breathtaking Holy #Cave. While the New Monastery of #AgiosDionysios was built about three kilometers from Litochoro when the old one was destroyed. #Dion was the holy city of the Macedonians in Ancient Greece.
