It has a population of 46,000 inhabitants and is an ideal #destination for #excursions any time of year! One of the most popular #international words of the #Greek #language is the word drama, deriving from the verb dro which means to #act. It means the poetic genre of the ancient Greek #literature and as a result it came to describe the misery, the passions of a person or a group of people. In northern Greece, and specifically in the land of Macedonia, lies a beautiful #city which is not at all #dramatic. The "Drama Short #Film #Festival" is a leading event of its kind, with international recognition. Drama is a city that knows how to party and have fun. Dozens of #taverns and #restaurants for all tastes and budgets serve traditional meats, cold cuts and dairy, accompanied by the always excellent, award-winning Drama #wine, and also grappa from local producers. The #Prefecture of Drama is famous for the quality wines it produces. The wider area is characterized by natural beauty, with great and rare vegetation, rich flora and fauna, streams with old arched bridges and beautiful waterfalls, while scattered ruins and churches testify to the human presence in previous decades.
