Η #εμβληματική Ακρόπολη είναι ένα από τα #ορόσημα που επλήγησαν από την καταιγίδα #Ελπίδα.

Η Αθήνα, η πρωτεύουσα της Ελλάδας, είναι η πιο όμορφη πόλη στον κόσμο, ειδικά όταν καλύπτεται από ένα λευκό πέπλο χιονιού. Κάτι εξαιρετικά σπάνιο για αυτή την πόλη που συμβαίνει κάθε 10 με 15 χρόνια.

Τα μνημεία της Αθήνας, οι δρόμοι και τα πεζοδρόμια φαίνονται πλέον ακόμα πιο όμορφα, ενώ τα πολύχρωμα σπίτια στην παλιά πόλη λάμπουν στο κατάλευκο σκηνικό.

Το μεγάλο χιόνι επέστρεψε ένα χρόνο μετά. Οι #νιφάδες χιονιού που έπεσαν στην Αθήνα σήμερα το πρωί της Δευτέρας ήταν απλώς ένα #γραφικό #ανέκδοτο για να #φωτογραφιστεί μέχρι τις 10:30 το πρωί. Located only 10 km by winding mountain road, north-east of Volos it is one of the most easily accessed of Pelions 24 villages. One of the most characteristic traditional settlements on mount Pelion. It is filled with mansions and houses from the Ottoman era that look like hanging ornaments on the green mountain side and are colorful. Many of these have been restored into restaurants and guesthouses. It sits on a slope of the Pelion range and another mountaintop to the east with forests, at a height of about 500 m (1,600 ft) above sea level. The square with age-old trees lends a panoramic view of Volos and the Pagasetic Gulf. The village of Makrinitsa is an excellent starting point for exploring the wider Pelion area, staying central while being simultaneously discretely distant; it offers a green and fresh landscape, full of bright shadows in late summer, access to beaches on the gulf and Aegean-side of Pelion, cosmopolitan yet far from the stress of the city. It is a wonderful and inspiring setting for a stimulating, but still relaxed, academic experience.

It is the Official Hometown of Santa Claus, and the city’s most famous resident can be visited every day of the year in Santa Claus Village right on the Arctic Circle, an attraction that draws more than 500 000 annual visitors from all around the world. Santa Claus Village is open every day, and getting there is easy. If you want to see Santa right after landing in Rovaniemi, you’ll be glad to know he’s only three kilometres away from the airport. 

#2 France: Paris. There’s an extra dose of magic to a trip to Paris in winter, when the City of Lights is lit up even brighter by thousands of twinkling bulbs. Each of Paris’ districts has something festive going on, from window shopping at the grand magasins and browsing the Christmas markets with a glass of wine. So dig out your scarf and gloves, Paris gets decked in her Christmas finery. Trees are draped with twinkling lights and colourful decorations are strung across the streets.
